(Jesus speaking)
You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
John 4:39-40
Islam teaches that the Scriptures point to Muhammad as the final prophet.
Judiasm teaches that the Scriptures contain all the necessary rules that must be followed to be accepted by God, and they reject Jesus as the Messiah.
Jehovah Witnesses believe the Scriptures teach that Jesus and God are not the same, but that He is God’s ‘first created thing.’
Rastafarians believe the Scriptures point to Haile Selassie I as the second coming of Jesus, God incarnate.
Mormons believe Jesus is not Jehovah of the Old Testament so therefore do not pray to Him.
And the religious and unbelievers alike believe that all of these fallacious teachings of Scripture are what the Bible teaches and what Christian’s believe.
Is it any wonder why so many people reject the mere mention of ‘Jesus’ or ‘the Bible’ today?
The worst part is that these are only a ‘few’ examples amidst hundreds of other false teachings by organizations and tribes all across the globe that have twisted Scripture in such a way that their adherents have no true understanding that the very history captured in the sixty six books that make up the Holy Bible are a testimony to one – and only one thing… His-Story!

“These are the very Scriptures that testify about me”
John 4:40

Imagine you wrote a biography about your own life as a revelation to the world of who you are, and in that revelation, you happened to mention the choices you made regarding certain situations; the way you chose to do things, the paths you chose to travel; you even mentioned some people you met along the way.
What if someone picked up that book to read it and because they noticed that you mention some people in passing in it, imagine they somehow missed the point and concluded that the book was about those other people…
Wouldn’t that be so frustrating to you as the writer?
Well imagine how God the Father might feel, who sent His Holy Spirit to inspire men to write these books in hope of revealing God the Son to the world when instead, they preach and teach His Word while completely missing this point altogether!
This happens simply because these false teachers of the Bible overlooked one VERY important detail…
The Holy Spirit who inspired Scripture, is the only Spirit who reveals it to men!
‘All Scripture is God-breathed’
2 Timothy 3:16
(Jesus speaking)
But when he, the *Spirit of truth*, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the *Spirit* will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
John 16:13-15
Office of the Holy Spirit:
– the Spirit of truth must ‘come’ to you (so ask God to ‘send’ Him)
– He will guide you into ALL truth
– He will ‘speak’ to you
– He will not speak on His own though
– He hears
– He then only speaks what He hears
– He prophesies (knows future events)
– He will glorify Jesus
– It is from Jesus that He hears and therefore speaks (reveals)
– He will therefore even confirm that these words from Jesus are true
However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
    what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”
the things God has prepared for those who love him
these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.
This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. *The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God* but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because *they are discerned only through the Spirit*. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
    so as to instruct him?”
But we have the mind of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:9-16
Don’t let another day pass you by without receiving this awesome gift from God – the ability to have personal fellowship (relationship) with your Creator by His indwelling Holy Spirit!
