Ten Reasons To Believe Christ Rose from The Dead

In a world filled with belief systems making religious claims, how can you know what to believe? How can you know who to follow? Here we offer ten pieces of evidence and witness that verify that following Christ is reasonable. As this evidence is examined and tested—we find that it can also be trusted.

A Public Execution Assured His Death

During the Jewish Feast of Passover, Jesus was swept away by an angry crowd into a Roman hall of justice. As He stood before Pilate, the governor of Judea, religious leaders accused Jesus of claiming to be the king of the Jews. The crowd demanded His death. Jesus was beaten, whipped, and sentenced to a public execution. On a hill outside of Jerusalem, He was crucified between two criminals. Brokenhearted friends and mocking enemies shared in His deathwatch. As the Sabbath neared, Roman soldiers were sent to finish the execution. To quicken death, they broke the legs of the two criminals. But when they came to Jesus they did not break His legs, because from experience they knew He was already dead. As a final precaution, however, they thrust a spear into His side. It would take more than resuscitation for Him to ever trouble them again.

A High Official Secured The Gravesite

The next day, religious leaders again met with Pilate. They said Jesus had predicted He would rise in 3 days. To assure that the disciples could not conspire in a resurrection hoax, Pilate ordered the official seal of Rome to be attached to the tomb to put graverobbers on notice. To enforce the order, soldiers stood guard. Any disciple who wanted to tamper with the body would have had to get by them, which wouldn’t have been easy. The Roman guards had good reason for staying alert–the penalty for falling asleep while on watch was death.

In Spite Of Guards, The Grave Was Found Empty

On the morning after the Sabbath, some of Jesus’ followers went to the grave to anoint His body. But when they arrived, they were surprised at what they found. The huge stone that had been rolled into place over the entrance to the tomb had been moved, and Jesus’ body was gone. As word got out, two disciples rushed to the burial site. The tomb was empty except for Jesus’ burial wrappings, which were lying neatly in place. In the meantime, some of the guards had gone into Jerusalem to tell the Jewish officials that they had fainted in the presence of a supernatural being that rolled the stone away. And when they woke up, the tomb was empty. The officials paid the guards a large sum of money to lie and say that the disciples stole the body while the soldiers slept. They assured the guards that if the report of the missing body got back to the governor they would intercede on their behalf.

Many People Claimed To Have Seen Him Alive

About AD 55, the apostle Paul wrote that the resurrected Christ had been seen by Peter, the 12 apostles, more than 500 people (many of whom were still alive at the time of his writing), James, and himself (1 Corinthians 15:5-8). By making such a public statement, he gave critics a chance to check out his claims for themselves. In addition, the New Testament begins its history of the followers of Christ by saying that Jesus “presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by [the apostles] during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God” (Acts 1:3).

His Apostles Were Dramatically Changed

When one of Jesus’ inner circle defected and betrayed Him, the other apostles ran for their lives. Even Peter, who earlier had insisted that he was ready to die for his teacher, lost heart and denied that he even knew Jesus. But the apostles went through a dramatic change. Within a few weeks, they were standing face to face with the ones who had crucified their leader. Their spirit was like iron. They became unstoppable in their determination to sacrifice everything for the one they called Savior and Lord. Even after they were imprisoned, threatened, and forbidden to speak in the name of Jesus, the apostles said to the Jewish leaders, “We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29). After they were beaten for disobeying the orders of the Jewish council, these once-cowardly apostles “did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ” (Acts 5:42).

Witnesses Were Willing To Die For Their Claims

History is full of martyrs. Countless men and women have died for their beliefs. For that reason, it is not that significant to point out that the first disciples were willing to suffer and die for their faith. But it is significant that while many will die for what they believe to be the truth, few if any will die for what they know to be a lie. That psychological fact is important because the disciples of Christ did not die for deeply held beliefs about which they could have been honestly mistaken. They died for their claims to have seen Jesus alive and well after His resurrection. They died for their claim that Jesus Christ had not only died for their sins but that He had risen bodily from the dead to show that He was like no other spiritual leader who had ever lived.

Jewish Believers Changed Their Day Of Worship

The Sabbath day of rest and worship was basic to the Jewish way of life. Any Jew who did not honor the Sabbath was guilty of breaking the law of Moses. Yet Jewish followers of Christ began worshiping with Gentile believers on a new day. The first day of the week, the day on which they believed Christ had risen from the dead, replaced the Sabbath. For a Jew, it reflected a major change of life. The new day, along with the Christian conversion rite of baptism, declared that those who believed Christ had risen from the dead were ready for more than a renewal of Judaism. They believed that the death and resurrection of Christ had cleared the way for a new relationship with God. The new way was based not on the law, but on the sin-bearing, life-giving help of a resurrected Savior.

Although It Was Unexpected, It Was Clearly Predicted

The disciples were caught off guard. They expected their Messiah to restore the kingdom to Israel. Their minds were so fixed on the coming of a messianic political kingdom that they didn’t anticipate the events essential to the salvation of their souls. They must have thought Christ was speaking in symbolic language when He kept saying over and over that it was necessary for Him to go to Jerusalem to die and be resurrected from the dead. Coming from one who spoke in parables, they missed the obvious until after it was all over. In the process, they also overlooked the prophet Isaiah’s prediction of a suffering servant who would bear the sins of Israel, being led like a lamb to the slaughter, before God “prolong[ed] His days” (Isaiah 53:10).

It Was A Fitting Climax To A Miraculous Life

While Jesus hung on a Roman cross, crowds mocked Him. He helped others, but could He help Himself? Was the miracle suddenly coming to an end? It seemed like such an unexpected ending for someone who began His public life by turning water into wine. During His 3-year ministry, He walked on water; healed the sick; opened blind eyes, deaf ears, and tongue-tied mouths; restored crippled limbs; cast out demons; stilled a violent storm; and raised the dead. He asked questions wise men couldn’t answer. He taught profound truths with the simplest of comparisons. And He confronted hypocrites with words that exposed their coverup. If all this was true, should we be surprised that His enemies didn’t have the last word?

It Fits The Experience Of Those Who Trust Him

The apostle Paul wrote, “If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you” (Romans 8:11). This was the experience of Paul, whose heart was dramatically changed by the resurrected Christ. It is also the experience of people all over the world who have “died” to their old ways so that Christ can live His life through them. This spiritual power is not evident in those who try to add belief in Christ to their old life. It is seen only in those who are willing to “die” to their old life to make room for the rule of Christ. It is apparent only in those who respond to the overwhelming evidence for Christ’s resurrection by acknowledging His lordship in their heart.

You’re Not Alone

You’re not alone if you find yourself honestly unconvinced about whether Christ rose from the dead. But keep in mind that Jesus promised God’s help to those who want to be right with God. He said, “If anyone chooses to do God’s will, he will find out whether My teaching comes from God or whether I speak on My own” (John 7:17 NIV).If you do see the reasonableness of the resurrection, keep in mind that the Bible says Christ died to pay the price for our sins, and those who believe in their heart that God has raised Him from the dead will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). The salvation Christ offers is not a reward for effort, but a gift to all who in light of the evidence put their trust in Him.

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved

The Sacrifice of Worship

Sacrifice of Worship

Timothy Brindle
This sermon’s from 1 Peter 2
But don’t take my word for it please first read it dude
And search-See, it’s true
We destroy deceit we find
So hypocrisy we put away like toys at clean up time
‘Cause sin is whack-Now Evangel, Tim, and Ack
Feed the milk of the Word to those fed up with similac
Though cats keep laughing that we’re corny
We can’t stop ‘cause God’s given us a passion for His glory
And though they reject us by the Father we’re chosen and precious
Like costly stones on a necklace
We once was tasteless but since the Son has saved us
We’re convinced of this from the taste test
We behold that He’s good
So if He’s holy, let’s be holy as His holy priesthood
But not to add to Christ’s death-That was priceless
But to offer up praises of spiritual sacrifices
And though filthy and wretched
Since he took our guilt we’re accepted
Through the cornerstone the builder’s rejected
He died for his bride-He’s marrying her
We’re a chosen race like Hitler thought the Aryans were
But not based on pigment or skin color
We’ll be placed in Christ to be saved from sin’s cellar
We was living in madness-but since Jehovah saved us
We approach his greatness with unlimited access
Saved for this reason alone to fall on our face
And holler His praise at the scene of His throne
‘Til then we’ll make sure that his shine’s seen
As we fervently offer up worship with rhymes schemes
Instead of spitting secular garbage
We proclaim His excellencies on 52nd and Market
To the living God, it’s vital we give props
And never offer up rhymes to the idols of hip hop.

Truly unworthy
Now I present my whole body as a sacrifice in view of His mercy
To clear up the debt of sin we’ve cashed in the act of Christ
And lashing his back with stripes with spiritual medicine
Renewed through the bible I fight my truest rival
Trying to kill myself like I’m suicidal
Tongue once a militant shank, unwilling to thank
Lewd aggression fill in the blank
Now it’s used for blessing
Used to talk in pride and falsified
And lied while my law-defying feet walked in stride
I used my head for a crowd of cheers and styles appear
Now it’s loud and clear it should be bowed in prayer.
They were once grips for looting and fists for duking
Now my hands I throw up like my wrists were puking
In praise, not loving the carnal
Sin amassed back then, past acting like Governor Arnold.
My eyes were disgusting with the crust of lusting
Peering at the woe’s – Now I’m cross-eyed like I’m staring at my nose
Don’t walk in the flesh like Pro Keds

My left eye sins, get rid of the Lisa Lopez
I make them an offer
Ring to the king as their placed on the altar
By faith-there you’re altered
And that’s my life of service avail to live godly
‘Cause daily my body’s a sacrifice of worship.

Holy, holy holy is the lamb in which we direct their attention
He switched us and now directs our affection and senses
Hence this rap is written with excellence and given
To the God who manifested himself to this vessel He lives in
He’s risen, so forever we’ll praise his name
I’m through with the monkey business-no more signing contracts with orangutans.
I’ve changed lanes and I claimed the slain
Son who hangs on the cross-And now me and his DNA is arranged the same
To Christ I’ll write rhymes divine pipe bombs
Delight psalms to put Christ in the light as an icon
I con–struct hype lines that lift his name on the mic
In the world that puts the Son down like it’s night time
I often stand in awe of the flawless author of life
Who’s awesome and altered my life-Now I’m caught up
So now all that I offer is my life
As a living sacrifice without crawling up off the altar
I’m not moving-It’s yours Lord ‘cause you’re Lord
Please pour more of yourself inside of this poor cords
Of course with my sword I’m determined with more force
To build my house on the Rock, wiith your Word as the floor boards
And let myself beat the guy on the Forth Horse
And beat my flesh to the point that I am a sore corpse
And let my life be the kind that the Lord sports
And outshine your shine that was shining before yours.

Stop the music-this is my sacrifice of worship
To my master Christ-With this rappin mic I serve this
Glorious king before Him I bring
The song of thanksgiving-This is the chorus I sing.

Stop the music-this is my sacrifice of worship
To my master Christ-With this rappin mic I serve this
Glorious king before Him I bring
The song of thanksgiving-This is the chorus we sing.
So stop the music.

He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around”
Mark 8:24

Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein:
then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
Psalm 96:12

In Your Name I Call

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
    For they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    For they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
    For they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
    For they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Flo – Your Name I Call

I need you
More than ever before
I’m standing
where I thought I’d never be Lord

I can see that the enemy
Won’t let me be
Countless time I failed you
but the cross that you were nailed to has set me free

I’m lost an I
Need you God
In your name I call

Though I’ve lost my sight
I feel you God
You break my fall

I know I
Can’t do this alone
I need you by my side
and if you guide me with your light I can find my way home

I can only be safe
By your mercy and grace
I’m calling your name will you show me your face

I’m lost an I
Need you God
In your name I call

Though I’ve lost my sight
I feel you God
You break my fall

My life is in your hands
My life is in your hands
My life is in your hands

Your hands
Your hands

This life is not my own
To you I belong
And when I’m feeling weak
You tell me that I’m strong

You can see Lord
You can see that I’m in need of a clean heart
So take my pride, take my soul
Right now I’m letting go

Though I struggle
You will see me through
And nothing will keep me from you

I’m lost an I
Need you God
In your name I call

Though I’ve lost my sight
I feel you God
You break my fall

My life is in your hands
My life is in your hands

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths

The Reason Monotheistic Islam cannot understand the Christian Trinity faith in One God

First, I want to make it clear that I write this as someone who was born Muslim, read the Quran, and still struggled for the first 30 years of my life to understand who God was. God so graciously led me through a life to find the answer to all these questions I had surrounding certain truth that directed me straight to the Lord Jesus Christ! It was a difficult battle, so I don’t expect it to be as easy as “hey follow me” and everyone will jump on board. But I do ask you to consider not the reputation of the man, but the guidance of the Spirit of the Lord if He truly dwells with you. I pray no offense is taken, but that the facts of the matter speak for them self.

In the 5th Century A.D, (which is 500 years after the death of Christ – or Anno Domini which means “The Year of our Lord” ) the Hindu-Arabic numeral system that we largely use today was created.

This is the system that identifies numbers as

But prior to this system, and in the time Jesus Christ walked the Earth, the system employed was the Roman Numeral System

I – II – III – IV – V

If you notice carefully in the system used, after III came IV.

Ever wonder why?

Why not IIII?

That’s because the Roman Numeral System was influenced by the Hebrew way of thinking which didn’t consider that plurality began until after the number three.

Therefore they could easily believe in One God, yet understand III to be singular thus explaining how God could exist in 3 persons but still be One.

Some of Jesus teachings explained His relationship with the Father and also His miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit by using this way of thinking which is why this created a stumbling block for some.

Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”

Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, “Show us the Father?” Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? the words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.
John 14:8-11

Going right back to in the beginning, from the scriptures of Genesis we can then see why in the Hebrew Old Testament (which is also, the Torah, and the Pentateuch, which are the exact same foundational books for Christianity, Islam, and Judiasm which hold their core beliefs and origins from the Law of Moses – the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deutoronomy), that Jesus was expounding on things that many had a hard time to understand. Under the influence of the Holy Spirit, Moses wrote in Genesis:

Then God said, “Let US make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground”
Genesis 1:26

Yet even from ancient times, the mind set remained that God was One despite the use of the word “our” and “us” where God was the One identified as speaking

These texts are the same in:

The Torah the foundational book of Islam. It reads “US”

The Hebrew Old Testament reads “US”

The Pentateuch reads “US”

The Septuagint reads “US”

The Word “Bible” or “Biblios” simply means library of books. Holy Bible = Holy Library of Books

We all consider these FIVE books as the foundation for each religion yet at some point we seem to differ in faith while the text is consistent and all point to God singularly existing in more than one persons therefore making way for Jesus as the Son of God and Savior of the world!

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light, ” and there was light
Genesis 1:1-3

Notice the way God worked:

– He created which involved the creative process of thinking

– His Spirit was hovering over the waters willing and ready

– God spoke and things happened

God set His thoughts to what He would do, His Spirit is set to do His will, and the moment He speaks, it became a reality!

No wonder God later says ” Let us make mankind in our image”

We can easily identify that we are all made up in the same way, not as god’s, but as beings made in His image.

Triune (3 unified in 1) – III – Trinity

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Son (The Word*) and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one
1 John 5:7

The “Word” or Son was made flesh.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. he was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it
John 1:1-5

This New Testament scripture brings out the truth that was revealed but not fully understood from the Old Testament that God’s thoughts and word were different in duty but the same in nature. 2014 years ago, the Word of God became flesh.

*The Word became fleshand made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth
John 1:14

Plurality begins at  IV

Now the Islamic belief taught in the quran that “all the old testament scriptures have been corrupted” shows also to be false.

The problem is that Mohammad was trying to understand scriptures written by a Hebrew mind using the Hindu-Arabic way of thinking, while the New Testament scriptures were expounded in an era where they used Roman Numerals and Euclidean arithmetic.

The Hindu-Arabic numeral system was invented in 525AD, and Mohammad founded Islam in roughly 610AD when he was 40 years old. Being brought up in this environment at that age, he could not understand the scriptures as they were meant to be interpreted in their time. Which is why anyone who advocated God existing in three persons yet being one seemed like polytheism to him.

Polytheism – the belief in or worship of more than one god

One of the teachings of the Quran is:

And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them go on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Surat At-Tawbah 9:5

Believers in Jesus do not worship more than one god. We worship One God existing in Three Persons. Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

And that God is a God of love

Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother or sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen
1 John 4:20

I speak these things keeping in mind that it is written:

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth
1 Corinthians 13:6

By this understanding, all of the scriptures now make sense and are not “corrupted” as Mohammad falsely taught his followers through the quran.

Granted that I only understand this because of God’s amazing unmerited favor towards me by faith, I know how it feels to search within for so long and endure through the struggles of life wondering what this is all for, and trying so hard to try to understand your faith and existence. This is why it means so much to me that others have the opportunity to understand this also.

You can choose to try and live by love and be Muslim, but according to your very own teachings of your religion, you would not be living in truth

In Jesus, you can do both!

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me
John 14:6

God…. One essence, three persons.

But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus
Romans 3:21-26

Breaking News – Demons Plot Foiled By Alloy!

Last night I had this rather odd dream. Two demons were trying to break into this window or glass looking thing. They took turns trying to break in without success.

Then a third demon showed up and screamed out:

This morning, a little confused about what happened, I decided to look up the word “alloy”

Alloy – An inferior metal mixed with a precious one

The precious Holy Spirit in our lives comes to live with us when we believe in Jesus Christ and gives us the ability to understand the scriptures, to love with genuine love, to have the courage to endure through hardships, and even the faith to believe.

Today I praise God for His Holy Spirit, who took this inferior being and made him into something impenetrable except by God Himself to the adversities, trials, tribulations, sorrows and griefs of this world through the knowledge of His Holy Word. And His most amazing feat is yet to come when He raises the believers to life once again as well defeating and proving this defeat over our true enemy, death!

Don’t just read the Word. I encourage you brothers and sisters, live the Word!

God is GOOD!

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor stands in the path of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of the scornful,”
but whose delight is in the law of the LORD,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
that brings forth its fruit in its season,
whose leaf also shall not whither;
and whatever he does shall prosper
Psalm 1:1-3

Jesus Lives! – The Error of Islam

Some of the fundamental teachings of Islam are based on the words of Jesus Christ, yet Islamic teachers often neglect to give the full message about all that Jesus Christ had to say and then accomplish, and unfortunately, the parts they left out, just happened to be the very important truths that prove the deity and purpose that Jesus Christ lived, died, and rose from the grave to fulfill.

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

Peter answered and said, “The Christ of God”

And He strictly warned and commanded them to tell this to no one, saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life”
Luke 9:22

Islam tries to lead many to believe that it was not Jesus Christ that was crucified on the cross, but if this was true, then just as any normal man, He would have long passed away then, right?. But what Jesus Christ spoke and then truly accomplished has opened a door that allows for anyone who truly desired to know the truth to find it.

Ask Him!

Brando is dead, James Brown is dead
Princess Di and John Lennon are dead
Biggie and Pac are dead- however

Jesus is Alive

Give praise to King Jesus, the blessed Son
Victorious, glorious resurrected One
To Him belongs the power, glory and honor
Ascended where He sits at the right hand of the Father
At the cross He made atonement- His people He saved
After three days He was raised in defeat of the grave
By faith the elect behold Him, His scepter is golden
He must have been hot or slippery because death couldn’t hold Him
The spotlight is on today’s icons
In a thousand years, nobody will care- their light’s gone
But at that time, Christ will still shine bright
He’s not in the limelight- He IS the limelight
Criminal minded, you’ve been blinded
Looking for the body of Jesus? You won’t find it
We never lack spirit, letting you cats hear it
Because His tomb is empty like most secular rap lyrics

Jesus is Alive

Throughout history there’s been mad religious leaders
Prophets, preachers, scholars, teachers
But when it came to the grave, no one could climb out
That’s where Jesus stands alone like taking a ‘timeout’
And don’t be mislead – I got a level head
No resurrection, Christianity would have never spread
The disciples weren’t stupid guys who would ruin their lives
And then choose to die for what they knew was a lie
That would be beyond ridiculous- Nah, the issue is
The risen Christ seen by 500 eye-witnesses
Imagine 500 people in a court of law
Each of them taking the stand reporting what they saw
If their stories lined up and made sense
The evidence would have to leave you convinced
But still it’s by faith that we trust and praise the Son
Who was raised for our justification

Nero is dead, Constantine is dead
Genghis Khan and Attila the Hun are dead
Alexander the Great is dead – however

Jesus is Alive

Napoleon is dead, Lao Tzu is dead
Che Guevara and Henry VIII are dead
Saddam Hussein is dead – however

Jesus is Alive

Through faith in Christ, we’ve been saved from hell
Because He’s risen, it means we’ll be raised as well
In glorified bodies fit for the new earth
For now, we participate in the new birth
The universal reality of the true church
With resurrection power, watch the Spirit do work!
United with Christ, we reside in His light
Abide in His might, keep in stride as we fight
The pride in our life, the lies and the spite
We strive to be wise as He guides through the night
He’ll chide and He’ll slice- recognize that He’s right
His brightness inside lights our eyes and it’s tight
(He) decided to die to wash white all our strife
His life was the price to delight in His wife
He told death “sike” just to rise like a kite
All eyes on the Christ – let’s prize Him tonight

Pharaoh is dead, Cyrus is dead
Darius and Sennacharib are dead
Nebuchadnezzar is dead- however
Jesus is Alive

Caesar is dead, Herod is dead
Annas, Caiaphas and Judas are dead
Pontius Pilate is dead- however

As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace to you!” But they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a spirit. And he said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?” See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. And while they still disbelieved for joy and were marveling, he said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?” They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate before them.

Then he said to them, These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem
Luke 24:36-47
