~The affects of the Gospel of Christ on a faithful, earnest, and truth seeking believer in body, soul, and spirit.~
Ever heard the saying: “all paths lead to the same place”
As a child brought up in a non-practicing Muslim household, I hope to convey the truth of my testimony before God and man of how a young boy who asked a very profound question at a very early age ended up going down various paths in life of islam, buddhism, and philosophy, to drugs, alcohol and prison, to ultimately coming to a saving knowledge and experience of the power of Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit, proving that He is in fact the only truth, the only way, and the only giver of life, who by faith in His life, death, and ressurection is the only true God and the One who has the power and authority to forgive sins.
Throughout the generations, people have relied heavily on a passed down knowledge of religion, tradition, and God, without thought nor taking the time to earnestly seek His counsel for direction towards certain truth, which has led to beliefs formed by these traditions intermixed with partial truths that keep heartfelt, mindful, or soul searching believers from communing with their loving and holy creator the way God intended. This has led to misunderstandings regarding life circumstances, shakeable and ungrounded faith in despair, divisions in men over religion rather than unity in truth, and an unfulfilled longing or emptiness within our hearts ultimately caused by separation from our Heavenly Father who truly does love us and has made a way for us to find our way to the True and Living God.
By learning, comprehending and applying the truths from the Gospel teachings of Jesus Christ, and then identifying a correct approach to true biblical faith while keeping in step with this wisdom, we will learn to fellowship with God, recognize His presence in our lives, defend ourselves from spiritual attacks and lies from satan, learn to unlock the doors of inner peace, feel real meaningful love and happiness within, take control over seemingly negative circumstances, learn to be humble and content in outward circumstances through the power available by understanding how to rightly divide the Word of Truth, and conclude that God loves us all deeply and has in fact kept all of His promises to those who walk in obedience to the wisdom of His teachings found in the Holy Bible.
This journey can be a short one or a long one depending on how zealous you are to understand your creator and find true purpose for your life. It also can be difficult since it’s satan’s whole objective in life to keep you from this truth, but nevertheless, since God is the author and finisher of your faith, all it starts with is this one simple declaration:
“Father that art in heaven, I want to know you and feel your presence in my life. I do believe you made me and love me and sent your Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross taking the punishment I deserved. I believe in my heart that He rose from the dead and I want to know you better. I pray you show me the way. I am open, ready and willing to go wherever you might take me just to know you for who you truly are,
In Jesus mighty name I pray”
Is this your heartfelt prayer?
The Word of God says:
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Sincerity is everything, but these are only the first few steps…
